🎉 We are very proud and happy to announce that we have just signed, in Paris this morning, the biggest contract ever in the history of MFI with a total budget amounting to 85 M€! Signed with INAMET, the Angolan National Meteorological Service, on the occasion of the official visit to France of President João Lourenço, this contract has a special flavor to us. Indeed, it corresponds to the second phase of the modernization project of INAMET, of which MFI has already carried out phase 1 between 2019 and 2023. What better reward for our teams, what more obvious proof of a satisfied customer than a phase 2! This new contract definitely confirms the relevancy of our global approach based on strong and long-lasting partnerships with our customers for sustainable co-designed projects.

🎯 So what is coming ahead? This phase 2, named ANGoMET and financed by a buyer’s credit from Société Générale (as was Phase 1), is expected to be launched second semester of 2025. It will be implemented over a period of 5 years, including a period of maintenance and support to operations to ensure sustainability of the investments made. The project aims to develop new capabilities on the foundations laid during phase 1, particularly in terms of infrastructure, observation network, information system, services to end-users, and increasing the skills of INAMET teams. In accordance with the spirit of the United Nations initiative of #EarlyWarningsForAll, the ANGoMET Project will put special emphasis on implementing efficient warning system, including innovative features such as Impact-based Forecast.

🙏🏻 We look forward to continuing our activities alongside INAMET teams, whom we warmly thank for their renewed trust. We consider it a great privilege to assist them on the path to a safer and more resilient future for Angola, its people and its economy.
