📅 Last week in Abidjan, we had the pleasure of meeting with executives from SODEXAM Côte d'Ivoire for the third Steering Committee of the 𝗩𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗠 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, launched early 2023. The event was the opportunity to confirm the efficiency of the partnership between 𝗠𝗙𝗜 and 𝗦𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠 which allows the project to move forward at a good pace, with benefits that will become particularly visible in 2025.

🎯 During the 2-day meeting, participants reviewed the latest achievements in the fields of development of Côte d’Ivoire’s observation network 📡, set-up of a modern and integrated Information System 🖥️, and strengthening of 𝗦𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠’s staff level of expertise 👩🏾‍🎓. It was also the opportunity to look ahead to the final year of the project which promises to be busy and productive! The implementation of the 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿 by our partner METEOPRESS expected to be operational by this summer will be one the highlights of the coming months. A strong focus will also be put on services to end-users: in July, 𝗠𝗙𝗜 and 𝗦𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠 will jointly organize a 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 to which representatives from main weather-sensitive sectors of Côte d’Ivoire (agriculture, energy, etc.) will be invited in order to be introduced to 𝗦𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠’s new service capacity and how they can benefit from it to optimize the management of their activities.

🙏🏻 We want to take advantage of this post to thank Mr. Jean-Louis MOULOT and all other participants for their hospitality and the constructive and positive spirit that prevailed throughout the Steering Committee. It was a boost of motivation and energy, ideal for tackling the last year of project implementation 💪🏻!
